It is all about the Little Things

Women's Marraige Ministry

Dewey and I are blessed to have a good marriage.  Not to say that everything is perfect {because no one has a perfect marriage}, but I feel blessed.  Marriage is a daily work in progress.  Marriage is not all about me or not all about Dewey.  Marriage is not about laying yourself down and feeling like a “door mat” or “feeling submissive”.  For those of you who know me, I don’t think I have to continue with more examples…

But it is about loving each other and making each other happy right down to the little things.  I have been following a blog about a little girl titled Kayleigh's Story and her mom has recently started a Women’s Marriage Ministry.

I love her new blog and I have taken on her 14 day challenge.  I have found myself going to her blog on a daily basis because she posts “daily lessons” and it helps me remember the little things.  I like her points and I like her views because she is real.  And even though I can not relate to the wives who think that divorce is the only way out, I can relate to the wives who are totally exhausted or frustrated because of a long day at work and want dinner to be already cooked and on the table or do nothing but go straight to the bubble bath!

Her 14 day challenge (which she is currently on day 10) is so fun and it has reminded me that it is all about…

the little things.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo

She was our guest, she was our guest, she was our guest!

Cinderella

came to have tea with us for Sarah’s birthday.  It was truly magical and Sarah enjoyed every minute of it.  She crowned Sarah as a princess, made her sparkle, had tea with us, danced and opened gifts!

Thank you Cinderella for making Sarah’s day special!

Happy Halloween

What a fun day!  We went around to some of our friend’s houses and then came back to Trick Or Treat with some of our neighbors.  Sarah was Snow White and Carson was Elmo decided to rebel against his Elmo costume and went as a football player.

Not Me Monday!

NotMeMondaySIDEBAR180x180

I absolutely did not wake up this morning with a splitting headache and feeling nauseous.  I did not proceed to try to get ready in the normal 30 minutes that I have to myself in the mornings.  After an hour of trying to get ready I did not realize that I could not make it to school and lay down on the couch to sleep for 6 hours.  Dewey did not call me to check on me and state “I hope you are not pregnant” {I am so not dropping any hints here either…in no way shape or form am I pregnant!!!!  FOR REAL!}

After waking up, I did not decide to battle through my nauseousness {because that is a word} and take Sarah to her hair cut appointment.  While we were there, I did not spike Carson’s hair and it was in no way A-DORABLE

Carson’s right eye is not red and I no way am I praying that it does not get any worse!  We did not pull over in the parking lot on the way home, for me to get sick and in no way was Sarah the sweetest thing ever in trying to “make me feel better”.

I so will not battle through my sickness tomorrow at school, because in no way do I have anything to do at school…since it is the end of the three weeks and all.  {Teachers, don’t laugh too hard…your stomach might start hurting!}

And, I am definitely not writing this post when I should be in bed…Goodnight!
