Moon Pies and Teddy Bear Prayers

Okay, Carson LOVES sweets. Today he had his first moon pie, courtesy of Grandma. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Last night, I was putting Sarah down and she told me that she had to pray (her teddy bear was in her bed). She grabbed her teddy bear, whose hands are sewn together, pushed his head down and this is what I heard..."Dear God," then Sarah started whispering into the bear's ear. Then she looked right at me and said,"Amen". Then she got into bed and went straight to sleep. I'm grateful that Sarah prays even if her prayers are for teddy's ears and God's ears only. It warms my heart.

Harvest Time

Sarah and my dad planted a garden during the summer and today was harvest day. They had A LOT of okra, one little carrot and one little potato. Watching them reminded me of picking the vegetables out of my grandfather's garden. Such good memories! Excuse Sarah's red nose. We have gone through a ton of Kleenex!!

Carson's First Haircut

Carson got his first haircut last weekend. A few of the hairs on top were long, but the back looked way too much like Donald Trump. So we trimmed a few hairs on top so that he wouldn't have the comb over effect and the back so that it didn't hang over his collar or ear(see picture below). He did really well after he warmed up to the chair.

My first attempt...

Okay, so I decided to make Sarah's cake this year for her birthday. So I borrowed one of my friends cake making stuff and got to cookin. Since my mother-in-law's birthday was this week, I thought I could try making Sarah's cake for her. I only make one mistake and put stars on all of the cake before outlining the inside of the castle. Oops, but not too bad for my first try. Can you guess her theme? That's right princess!

Pumpkins, Goats, and Hayrides Oh My!

We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend with some of our good friends. I love October for many reasons...football, pumpkins, and the start of fall. The pumpkin patch is one of my favorite O'Neill traditions!

Whose Your Doctor? (as in Whose your Daddy?)

Okay,
I have meet so many people through my "good stuff" doctor. Five months after Sarah was born, I saw my neighbor holding her son on her back porch. We got to talking about newborn stuff and have since become the best of friends. We also discovered that we have the same "good stuff" doctor.

Then, today, I went to my "good stuff" doctor for my birth control shot so that Carson will not become a big brother and low and behold, Team Carroll (see sidebar for link) is sitting in the waiting room.

I asked her, "Are you Team Carroll?"
She said, "Yes" and looked at me kind of funny
And I said, "I'm Team O'Neill"
And we began to talk.

I found Team Carroll through another friends blog. And to give you a little background, I have loved keeping up with her family and I have total blog envy of her! So you can imagine how excited I was to meet her in person. I could hardly contain myself and while I was talking 20 miles an hour (and talking about everything) I thought, "I'm sure she thinks I'm crazy because I'm acting a little ADD, but I was so excited to meet her and her little man. We also discovered that we have the same doctor (because our doctor is in a group of 5 or so other doctors)

Cara-It was so good to meet you in person and talk to you about having baby #2. I wish you all of the best luck with your pregnancy and delivery...by the best "good stuff" doctor in the world!!! :)
