I.LOVE.THE.FOURTH.OF.JULY!

We went to celebrate the fourth at our friend’s house yesterday and had a blast.  Even though it was hot (welcome to Texas people), we still had a great time.

I love the idea of celebrating our freedom and honoring our military people.  I love the idea of teaching patriotism to Sarah and Carson.  To those who serve our country…thank you!  I am grateful for you!

Out with the Old and In with the New…

We set up Carson’s toddler bed today.  The bed frame has been in our dining room since Sarah got her new bed and we are just now moving it into his room.  He loved the idea of something new in his room, until bed time rolled around.  We will see…his room looks so empty since his crib was so much bigger than his toddler bed.  And I can’t believe that he will be 2 in a week and a half and that his crib is out of his room…sniff, sniff…

Tickle Monster and Checklists

This morning was so fun.  After breakfast, the tickle monster came and visited Carson and I got the rest of my checklist done.  After naps, we will head out to our friend’s house for some swimming, music, and fireworks.  I love Fourth of July celebrations!!!

Rough Riders Game

Last night, we went to the Rough Riders game and had a blast.  It seemed like everyone we knew was there as well.   We enjoyed watching some good ol’ baseball and seeing everyone.  016

Sarah was interested in looking at Deuce (the mascot) and had no interest in getting her picture taken.  You can see in the family picture that she is looking back toward the field at him.

They even had fireworks…a great finish to a great night!

Backyard Fun!

We got a play set for the kids!  Mind you it is hand me down, but I’m all about a bargain ($600 bargain to be exact on this one) and I don’t mind taking the hose to something to clean it off.  The kids are in heaven.  Carson cried when we took him out of the swing and Sarah kept saying,

“Daddy, I LLLOOOVVVEEE YYYYOOOUUU!”

Perfect Landing Shots…with Daddy squirting the kids with the hose.

Swimming with Grandparents

Swim, Swim, Swim, Swim, Swim.  Saturday, we went to Pop and Grammy’s club to swim and we were at Papa Coach and Grandma’s house to swim on Sunday.  Our tans are starting to look good!  Sarah even went off the diving board!!

Before Carson got used to being in the pool, he was being anti-social and not too happy about swimming.  But as you can see from the above pictures, he warmed up.  I can’t help myself to post his anti-social/crying pictures.  LOL!

Swimming Play Date!

We went over to our new, sweet friend’s house to play today.  Their daughter goes to Sarah’s preschool and their daughter’s name is Sarah too, but she is only 9 months.  They also have a little boy who is a year older than our Sarah.    Thank you friends for a fun evening and great food!

Our little water bug…003

They are also OU alumni and they had an OU helmet that Carson loved!

Fun Summer Play dates!

I love summer play dates.  Cooking out.  Playing Outside.  And Swimming…well maybe next time.  The crazy storm that came through last night made the pool too cold for the little ones.  Here’s to great times and great friends!

Playing outside…

****The kids had sooooo much fun playing outside, Team O’Neill’s new goal is to convince the head chief that the kids really do need one of their own in their backyard….

****Sarah did not hurt herself in her attempt to dive down the slide.  She got up, giggled, and went on…tough as nails!!!  :)

Okay,

So I know you are SICK AND TIRED of hearing about Sarah’s dance recital, but we just got her professional pictures in and here they are.  I promise this is my last post about her recital.
