Hello, I’m still here…

Oh my goodness.  Can anyone say, “School has started?”  Between school starting and getting ready for Sky Ranch, I have been KA-Razy busy and I have not had time to blog.  Please know that I have a few post waiting patiently to be posted {that would be after I write them} and I will write it after I get home from Sky Ranch.  I leave tomorrow to camp for three days with 100 5th graders.  So please be in prayer for everyone.  Dewey will be here holding down the house with the help of his parents…and with the help of the kids of course.  Hope everyone has a great week!

Here is a little teaser for my upcoming post…

Toddler Talk Tuesday

Carson has been counting everything!  He wants to count his bath tub toys, his books, his fingers, the knobs on his dresser, and the list could go on and on.  So in honor of his counting, today’s word is

Three

{pronounced fee}

As in one, two, fee, four, five…He has counted up to twenty a couple of times, but his favorite number to count to is ten.

He even likes to count his sprinkles in his

Ice Cream

{pronounced ice ceem}

Rain, Rain, Go Away…We want to go Outside and Play!

Sarah:  “Mommy, is it raining again?”

Me:  “Yes, baby it is.  We still can’t go outside to play.”

Sarah:  “I’m so frustrated with that!” {with a totally irritated tone of voice}

The rain is all and good, don’t get me wrong, but I couldn’t of said it better myself!

Waiting patiently for the rain to stop…where’s our magic wand?

I love the expression on Sarah’s face!

Toddler Talk Tuesday

Hello and welcome to this weeks Toddler Talk Tuesday.

Today’s word is…

I did it!

{pronounced I dait!}

Carson loves to say this after he has buckled himself into his car seat as shown below.  And he points to his buckle.  This picture also displays his Mater teeth {as in Tow Mater from Cars} quite well too.  And if you don’t know the story behind the Mater teeth, just try to put your teeth through the coffee table four times in a week when you are learning to walk and see how they turn out.

In other news at our house, we got another car seat for Sarah and put it in Dewey’s jeep.  Now Dewey can drop Sarah off in the mornings, and I can drop Carson off.  I’m way pumped about this and my mornings should be a lot smoother because I will be able to get to school earlier to prepare for the day with only one drop off!  And Sarah picked out a seat that totally adds some bling to Dewey’s jeep.  Love It!

Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary!

Today is my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary and we went to the lake yesterday to celebrate.  I made a 40 basket for them which consisted of several $40 gift certificates and 40 memories from everyone.

Mom and Dad-  Happy anniversary!  I hope you have a great day!

We Celebrated…

We fished…

We hung out…

We slept…

We went swimming…

We had fun in the water…

We rode in the boat…

Toddler Talk Tuesday

A blog that I love to follow, Team Carroll, has been participating in Toddler Talk Tuesday and since Carson has become quite the talker, I thought I would follow her lead.

Today’s word is…

Okay

pronounced as “O Tay”

I think that it is one of his favorite words to say because we hear it almost as often as we hear the word

Yeah

pronounced as “eah”.

{yeah is said short and sweet quick to be followed by okay}

If you were to come into our house any day of the week you might hear this…

Mommy:  “Carson, are you ready to eat dinner?”

Carson:  “Eah”

Mommy:  “I need for you to wash your hands and sit at the table.”

Carson:  “O Tay”

OR you might hear

After she has read the 5th bedtime story…

Mommy:  “Do you want to read Trucks Roll?”

Carson:  “Eah”

Mommy:  “This is our last book and then we are going to bed”

Carson:  “O Tay”

So with that…Everyone have a great Tuesday “O Tay”!!

{In writing this post, I tried to get pictures of Carson…but he wanted nothing to do with it and Sarah was the one who wanted her picture taken.  So there you have it, a post about Carson and pictures of Sarah.  I love the picture on the right of Carson.  He is looking around Sarah to see the T.V.  Nice!}
