Home from a Great Trip!

Hello To All,
We got back today from a week at the beach and it was great! We had a wonderful time and the kids loved the ocean and playing on the beach! A dead car battery and Hurricane Dolly tried to interrupt our fun, but we were not going to have it. We got the car fixed, and even though Dolly let us know that she was out in the Gulf, being in Galveston, we only got wind and rain. Coming to a blog near you...pictures and stories from the beach! Carson's Party Part 2

Future Lineman? (Carson's Stats)

We just got back from Carson's one year doctor's visit and Dr. Dan told us what we already knew...he is a BIG boy! His head circumference is 19 1/4 inches (95th percentile). He weights 25 pounds 6 oz (80th percentile) and he is 30 inches long (65th percentile). All else is well and he is a healthy little boy. He only got three shots and did very well with them. When the nurse was getting ready to give Carson his shots, she set them down next to him Carson reached for them with his Go Go Gadget arms and got a hold of one of them. Luckily, the needle was covered. I think it freaked out the nurse more than it did Dewey or I.

But all is well and Dr. Dan approved Carson to be a future Allen Lineman!!! heehee :)

Big Brother Premier!

Okay, I don't have much free time to watch TV, but I LOVE Big Brother! And the premier is in 35 minutes! Can't wait!

Carson's party was today and he had a blast! Happy Birthday Bubba!

This is my contribution to his party and I so got this idea from another mommy (thanks Team Carroll!) There were pictures of him from one month all the way to twelve months. Love it!

Reflection of a Year

Okay, Carson will be one tomorrow and as I look back, I am thankful for many things. Here is a list of the top ten!

10....Huggies because they the best diapers ever!

9....Tylenol and Benadryl

8....Motrin-And yes it gets its own number because it is by far the longest lasting and works fast!

7....Stephanie and her family (see last post)...which I won't post another picture because I'll get in trouble again...heehee :)

6....Jon and Kate plus 8 (TLC show), because when my day is not going as planned, I think of them and know that I can do it with just 2!!

5....Dr. Davolio and her nurses for keeping me healthy through my pregnancies and taking care of Carson and Sarah after they were born.

Stephanie has kept Sarah since she was 12 weeks old and Carson since he was 6 weeks old. The night that we met her, she told us that she would take great care of our baby(ies) and she has done way more than that! She has helped raised them, loved them, cared for them, and become like family to us. Every morning when I leave her house, my heart smiles because I know that they are in a safe and loved environment. Sarah stayed with another lady before Stephanie and I did not feel right with her. So I told Dewey that we needed to find someone else. After Sarah had stayed with Stephanie for about a month, he told me one night, I get what you were saying.

Thank you Stephanie for loving my children like they were your own!!!

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. There is nothing better than being with family, eating hot dogs, and watching fireworks. We had a great time at the McKinney Fireworks show. They had a great area for kids and their fireworks were awesome. Happy Birthday America!

We went to McKinney this morning for their parade. It was short, but fun.
