Teacher of the Year 2011!

Dewey is the Teacher of the Year for his school!

He is a fantastic teacher and his students love him!  His school called my school on the morning of their announcement so that I could be included {how nice is that?}.  My class got covered and I ran over to his school.  So much fun and we are so proud of him!

These pictures are a bit blurry…they were taken on my phone…I didn’t have my camera in my purse on that day.  Boo!!!!

As we were walking running to his room {because his classroom is on the opposite side of the school from the office}, they came over the speaker and said some things that Dewey’s peers said of him…..soooooo cool!  We were at his classroom door when they said….And our Teacher of the Year is Mr. Dewey O’Neill.

His students were taking a test and they all got out of their seats and cheered.  The principal brought his class donuts and said that all of his students should receive 100 on their test.

And he even wore his Swag shirt that day!  Gotta’ Love it!

Easter 2011

Easter was so much fun at our house this year.  Sarah has been into the Easter bunny for a couple of years, but with Carson getting into it…it made for a lot of fun.  We had Papa Coach, Grandma, Pops, Grammy, and Uncle Jon over for an Easter Egg hunt and lunch.

The Easter Bunny + Josh Hamilton = Good times!!!!

Sarah and Carson went to see the Easter Bunny today and they were so excited.  Carson is all into him this year and Sarah loves him too.  Carson wanted to sit in his lap and Sarah wanted to sit next to him because in her words, She “is a big girl”.  In the first couple of pictures, Carson had a deer in headlights look, so we got him to smile big by saying “Josh Hamilton”.

When I was asking the kids about the Easter Bunny, Carson told me that he wanted him to bring him sketchers…as in the boy version of the twinkle toes Sketchers that Sarah has.  When I asked Sarah want she wanted him to bring her, she stated, “I don’t need to tell the one at the mall because he isn’t the REAL Easter Bunny because the REAL Easter bunny is a “for real” bunny.  Then she proceeded to tell me that he already knew what she wanted and gave me no further explanation. 

So…..Easter Bunny, if you are out there and you happen to read my blog, it would be much appreciated if you would give me a call or drop me a note.  I’ll leave you a lot of carrots if you can help me out!!!

TCU Baseball

Last weekend, we went to a TCU baseball game to watch Papa Coach umpire.  They had a hill near 1st base and the kids followed others, got an empty box, and enjoyed the day!

 

 

It took Carson a couple of tries to get it…here he is crying because Sarah beat him down the hill first and he “couldn’t do it”.

Then Carson got the hang of it and was running into others…Note the kid with the white shoes who is behind him in the first picture, and then knocking off, and him rolling down the hill.

He thought it was funny!
