What Daddy's Shirt Should Say

So my kids are decked out! My neighbor gave us this cute Fourth of July shirt for Carson and my friend, Vanessa, gave Sarah some "bling" for her Crocs. When I showed Dewey Carson's new shirt, he said, "That's cool, can I get a shirt that says My son rocks?" Sarah proceeded to put her had on her hip, head down, and her eyes up looking at Dewey and said, " Are you kidding me?" Dewey and I cracked up!! I told Dewey that she probably was thinking that his shirt should say My daughter rocks. She is really getting a fun personality!

Updated Blog...

Turn up your volume and vote to the right.
Stevie Wonder is for my mom and Norah Jones is for Dewey's mom. :)

OKAY...so apparently the vote thing isn't working because something is wrong on the Blogger side. So just post a comment if you feel necessary. By the way, music has always ANNOYED me on others blogs, but I found this Sweet Pea song and I love it. Since I was pregnant with Sarah, we have called her Sweet Pea and it has stuck!

The Story Clan

My team (minus me because I'm behind the camera) with Carson and Sarah
Is that the flip flop Nazi (my assistant principal) with flip flops on? This picture definitely has some bribery potential to it!
Teresa smiling with Carson like she was not the one who gave him Dr. Pepper!
Carson returning for seconds on the Dr. Pepper.
Carson says, "Hey Teresa, this cup is empty. Can I get a refill?
Some friends from Story (the elementary that I teach at) came swimming with Sarah, Carson, and I. Thank you ladies for a great afternoon! We had such a good time swimming with you all. And nothing like Snuffer's loaded fries to end a perfect afternoon!

Love this Picture!

Sarah is getting to be such a good swimmer! With these floaties, she is a champ! She can go out to the middle of the pool and back by herself with them!

Fun Afternoon!

Savannah and Sarah Splashing in the water!
Raft Time!
Nothing like a popsicle after an afternoon swim!
Carson's first popsicle. Bubble Gum...Yummy!
Dinner at Chili's after swimming!
We had a great afternoon swimming with one of my high school friend's and her daughter. Sarah and Savannah had a blast! Kayce, Thanks for spending the afternoon with us!

Any Resemblance? (I hope NOT!)

John Belushi in Animal House

Okay, I can honestly say that I have not seen this movie from start to finish, but I do love hand me downs. Carson got this shirt from one of his friends whose father thinks Animal House is hysterical! Dewey agree's with him and dressed him today in this t-shirt. Carson even has that dumbfounded look on his face! I can only pray that Carson doesn't grow up to be like John Belushi's character. For those of you who don't know, here is his character description: "Bluto" Blutarsky (John Belushi), an abject, drunken degenerate with a style all his own, in his seventh year of college, sporting a GPA of 0.0. He goes on to become a United States Senator.

P.S. Carson lost to the swimming pool deck yesterday and scratched up his face. By the way, that was on Dewey's clock. I was putting sunscreen on Sarah. Nice...

Looking Better!!!

UPDATE: Okay so here it is. It looks much better and now that I have darkened the background, I like it a lot better than before. And since you didn't see it before, you can't compare. I'm happy with this!!

Okay, well at least it is larger (and some what centered) and not only on the right side of my header. Still a work in progress, but I'm very excited. See, just a little time (now 8 hours) to play with it and I'll figure it out. hee hee

I'm not in love with this creation, but for now it will work! Vanessa-I'm ready to help you get your blog fancy! I think...

New Header...sort of...

Okay, so I have been working on this crazy program for 3 hours to try to create this header and another 3 hours trying how to save it so that it would work with the whole html thing. Then Dewey told me just to save it as a jpg file and then put it in like a picture. DUH! It worked!
I know that it does not cover the whole header part but I'm still working on that. But I'm still excited that I created something and got it on my blog. Thanks Dewey!
I'm headed toward having a fancy blog....very fun!!!

Fun in the Sun!

We went to my parent's club to go swimming this afternoon and had a blast! We were getting together for a late Father's Day and to enjoy each others company. Mom and Dad, thanks for a great afternoon!

Summer Afternoons

Sarah says, "Nothing like a popsicle after a swim in the pool!"

Never mind the mess behind Carson. Yet another one of our afternoon "projects"...pull out all of our toys from the toy box and proceed to play with the first one we pulled out.

Playdate and Dinner

We had a playdate and dinner at the DellAccio's. Thanks for having us! We had a lot of fun. Olivia is soooo cute!

Sarah (with her crazy red eye going on...she kind of looks possessed, I know) and Olivia in their chairs.

Olivia and Carson playing with the blocks.

More fun!
Sarah again not wanting to take her picture. She is too involved in Olivia's toys. heehee :)

More Fun in the Sun

Papa Coach and Sarah
Carson chillin' in the pool.
Sarah loves this raft!
Taking a nap
Sarah discovered the rings that Papa Coach was hiding. She loved throwing them in her pool and getting them out. Then she would throw them in the deep end and laugh at her daddy when he got them!
What a fun afternoon! Sarah had a blast with her floats and her rings. As you can see in every picture, there is a blur in the middle right. Carson had the camera before we went outside and I guess that is the remains of his little fingers. Note to self: wipe the lens after Carson (or Sarah) has been playing with it!

Happy Graduation!

Congratulations Britt! We are so proud of you and we know that you will do well in college.

Ready to get in!
Playing on the "sandbar"
Carson was getting tired toward the end of the evening.
One more of the kids enjoying the water!
My two boys...
Being a baseball coach, how can you not love the farmer's tan!

We took the kids to the pool today to kick off the official first day of summer! Sarah loves swimming and she has gotten the courage to jump off of the side into Dewey's arms. Carson loves the water as well. Here's to many more days at the pool (and cooking out which we didn't take any pictures of)!

Sharing Siblings

Sarah teaching Carson how to use her electronic book

Love this picture!

I was in the kitchen this morning making breakfast and came around the bar to find Sarah teaching about and sharing her electronic book with Carson. LOVE IT! (By the way, her hair is NOT dirty, it was still wet from her bath this morning.)

Teeth Galore

Carson is currently cutting three teeth all at once. Tylenol and Motrin are definitely a blessing! In this picture, he is thinking, " I'm trying to smile, but I can't because the whole right side of my gums are swollen." Poor baby! He has got Sarah beat on the teeth thing. She barely had two teeth on her first birthday and these three make seven for him (and he still has a month before his birthday!).

Sarah and her "green Pea" teeth, green shirt, green chair, green ponytail holders, and green place mat. She loves peas and she was giggling at her daddy when I took this picture.
