Baseball Fever and a Cut Hand

We went to the Freshman baseball game to cheer on daddy’s players.  I love baseball games {almost as much as I love the beach} and I love the fact that the kids are getting old enough to enjoy them.  We had to leave early because Sarah cut her hand when she feel on the sidewalk.  After she cut her hand {and all the way home} she kept saying/screaming “I just couldn’t handle it because it is bleeding” or “I just can’t handle it because it is too much”.  It was quite funny and I had to laugh in order keep my own sanity.

{I think we will be rethinking that whole…you can’t cry unless there is blood thing.}

Before we left, I tried to go into the bathroom to wash up her hand and I’m sure everyone in Collin County could hear her screaming like no other {thank you echoing, because that is a word, bathroom for making it sound like I was beating her to death!!!}.  When we got home, we washed up her hand and she didn’t even need a band-aid.

Dewey came home asking why she was screaming/crying and when he saw her hand, he said, “Seriously?!” and started laughing.

Stonebriar Playdate

Yesterday, we met one of my high school friends and her babies at the mall for playtime and lunch.  We had a blast playing, going to the Disney store {No, Sarah did NOT get the two piece Princess and the Frog swimsuit, but she did get a cute Minnie Mouse one that she will be sporting at the beach in 123 days}, riding the Merry-Go-Round, and grabbing a bite to eat.

Dinner and a Park…

I love Spring Break!  It allows us time to relax and it allows us {quality} time to enjoy our friends {that sometimes seems impossible to do during the school year}.

We had friends over the other night for dinner and we took the kids to the park since the weather was gorgeous.

I found this yummy recipe for Shrimp and Pepper Pasta on Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour (a blog that I follow) and I decided to make it my own.  Instead of Shrimp, I used chicken and we had Chicken and Pepper Pasta last night for dinner.

It was a delicious as the pictures look.

So Dewey’s eyes are bigger than his wallet and he is looking online “to see what he wants” to buy in a year.  I told him that when Sarah started kindergarten, he could get a new jeep or truck…whatever he wanted.  He was looking on the Collins Brothers Jeep Website and this one caught Sarah’s eye.  Its description is as follows:

Seriously, it has Louis Vuitton logo on the top and on the seats and it is pink.

Sarah said, “But daddy, that is just perfect!”

I said, “And its even a Louis Vuitton Jeep”

Dewey said, “Who is Louis Vuitton

As the Jeep says…Silly boys {Louis

Vuitton} Jeeps are for Girls!!!

*****Side Note:  We would not buy Sarah a Louis Vuitton Jeep even if she was 16…so if she has her eye set on this one, she better start saving her own money!  And I once did carry a Louis Vuitton purse…but it was 1988 and I was in junior high!
