Not a good week to be a forehead of an O'Neill...

****Disclaimer: If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to look at the first picture. Really it is not that bad, but you know...

So I was turning down the street that Sarah's preschool was on and my cell phone rang. I was the director of the school saying that Sarah fell into the bookshelf and split her head open. She then said, "I think she will need stitches." So my first thought was...I'm sure glad that our family Christmas pictures have been taken because between Carson's forehead (see post below) and Sarah forehead, the pictures would of needed some serious photoshopping (is that a word?). Bad mom...I know. The director of her school said that she did not cry when it happened. Very impressive!! And she didn't cry on the way to the ER or while they were fixing her "boo-boo". Such a tough girl!! The first thing she told me when I saw her was, " Mommy, I hit my head like bubba." Too funny, but I think Sarah won the prize on the forehead injury!!

The doctor didn't have to give her stitches because he said that he could glue it together and use steri strips. Which is very good because that won't leave the possible markings on her forehead that stitches would.

This evening, my mother-in-law said, I hope CPS doesn't get a hold of your blog....yeah NOT funny!!! Being that I am a former CPS investigator, I think I'm okay. Too bad Halloween is over because Carson looks like something out of a freak show and Sarah looks like Frankenstein. hee hee :)

Like New and looking like Frankenstein!

One Goose Egg coming up...

I'm guilty as charged and fell soooo awful! Sarah was going to the restroom when she told me that she needed help. So I brought Carson into the restroom with me so that I could "watch" him and help her at the same time. While I was helping Sarah, Carson managed to climb up on his stool (which he can do now at lightning speed), went to turn around, missed the step, and fell right on his head where the hardwood meets the bathroom floor. And it all was in slow motion for me. Long story short...his head swelled up HUGE in like 5 seconds and I got the bad mommy award for the year! Now,being the mother of two toddlers, I'm not one to freak out, but this sacred me, so we took him to Acute Care Now and they said to keep him up for a couple of hours, make sure he is acting normal, and make sure he doesn't throw up. He kept dinner down, acted normal, took a bath, helped with the dishes, and I finally gave into his sleepiness to put him down. One Goose egg coming up...
Carson laughing during dinner wearing his injury well.

Goose Egg for desert anyone?

One more shot for the sake of it.

Helping with the dishes after his bath. Of course in his birthday suit!

Happy Anniversary!

Fourteen years ago, I meet the love of my life and best friend. And eight years ago today, I married him. He makes me laugh, loves me with all of my flaws, and makes me want to be a better person on a daily basis. So, to my husband, best friend, and wonderful father of my children...Happy Anniversary. I love you forever and ever!

I love you more today than I did yesterday, but not as much as I will tomorrow.

P.S. Please excuse the A&M hat. We were in high school... :)

Sarah's Birthday Party

Saturday we had Sarah's party at the park. It was the easiest, and the best party we have had yet. I can't believe she is three!

Late Halloween Pictures

Okay, Sorry these are so late, but here are some pictures from our church fall fest and Halloween night. Enjoy!
