Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Last week, Dewey and I went to the Ranger’s game.  Dewey was given tickets directly {10 rows up} behind home base for being named Teacher of the Year!

On our way to our seats, we spotted the three kids that I babysat while I was at Tech.  They were in town from Lubbock with their mom and while she was at her state conference, they came to the Ranger’s game.  Before they told us what they were in town for, I asked them where their parent’s were…as if they couldn’t be there by themselves much less drive themselves there.  Silly me for thinking that they were still in 2nd and 5th grade and I was still in college.  heehee!  It made for a good laugh and it made me realize how old I am that they have turned into responsible, young adults.  We hadn’t seen them since I posted about them here in May of 2007.  Karson (our Carson’s namesake) is on the right and Kamdon, his twin brother, is on the left and Kalee is as precious as ever!

We also participated in the setting of the “Most People To Wear Sunglasses in The Dark” Guinness World Record.

We had a great time, the Rangers won, I got a Hamilton shirt, and we made it home before the storms got here.

I love summer baseball!
