Last night when the sirens went off, we got the kids and went to the laundry room. After the main part of the storm blew over, Dewey came in and told us that we could go back to bed. Of course it was still raining, lightning and thundering but the high winds had passed. Sarah then looked at him and said, "I can't go back to bed until the lightning and thunder switch is turned off. I'm staying right here." It cracked Dewey and I up, but we stayed put until she was satisfied that the lightning and thunder was gone. So with that being said,
Dear God,
Thank you for keeping us safe during the storm,
Thank you for turning the rain switch on and
keeping the tornado switch off!
Thank you for turning the lightning/thunder switch off so that we could get some rest.
Amen.
