Who's Who?

We had dinner with my dad this evening and he brought some pictures of me when I was little. Dad showed Sarah this one picture and asked her who it was and she said, " That is me." The date on the back of the picture is May '80. I love it. Everyone tells me that the kids look sooooo much alike and that they look just like their daddy. Well that is great and all, but now it is time that they look like me.

The Heard Museum

We took the kids out to The Heard Museum today and opted to avoid the craziness at the Ft. Worth Zoo. They loved it! Sarah enjoyed the snakes and bees. And Carson was a happy man running and digging. He is 100% Boy!!!Carson digging, and digging, and digging. Sarah was all about it too!

Prayer Request for Papa Coach

Dewey's dad, Coach, has landed himself in bed (a hospital bed that is) with no where to go. Two weeks ago, he suffered from a "job related" (baseball), injury to his leg, got it infected, and had to have surgery yesterday to remove the infection. He is doing well, but please pray for comfort/healing for him and Dewey's mom as she will be the one caring for him when he goes home.

***For those of you who don't know, Coach is in sales by day and a NCAA umpire by night.

Birthday Celebration with Pop

Yesterday, we went to celebrate my dad's birthday. Here's to 65 great years and many, many more to come! Happy Birthday dad!

A Saturday Night In...

Since Sarah has been sick since Wednesday (and still having fever this morning), the kids and I could not go to the Allen Baseball game to watch daddy coach, so we stayed in and had a great time. We made "my size pizzas" and rice crispy treats. The pizzas are really easy. Take a package of biscuits, flatten them out, add spaghetti sauce and cheese, and any other topping you like! Cook according to biscuit directions.

Sarah is feeling a lot better since she is now taking her antibiotic (the first antibiotic they gave us, she hated even though we "tricked" it up in all the ways we knew how. But that is a whole other story within itself). It looks like pizza and rice crispy treats cure a fever...fast!

Melmo!

We went to Nokia Theater to see Elmo and Friends today and the kids had a blast! We even got our Mexican fix at On The Border after the show. This was our second time to go to Nokia and I highly recommend it if you are willing to shell out the money or if you have grandparents who are willing to spoil them. Thanks Grammy and Grandma for a great day!
