Memorial Day Weekend 2011

Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorite holidays!  It is the beginning of the summer and we always celebrate it at the lake, cooking out and in the pool!  This year was no different.

We started our weekend off by going to the lake with cousins and camping out for the day.

Sarah’s Preschool Graduation

Sarah had her preschool graduation and it was fabulous.  They sang songs and they had a slideshow with pictures of the children doing different activities through out the year.  They also asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up and Sarah said that she wanted to be a fashion designer.  I have no idea where she got this from, but sounds good to me!  She told me that she would design shoes.  I’m all over that!

The star of the night…

Shout out to her fans before she performs and singing…

Preview of Sarah’s Preschool Graduation

Sarah had her preschool graduation tonight.  She is all excited about being a big kindergartener after she goes to gymnastics camp and the beach this summer.  Here are some teasers…more to come soon.

And this just happens to be my favorite picture of the night…

Wedding Shower!

This past weekend, Sarah and I attended a wedding shower for one of our dear friends.  Erin is delightful and Sarah loves her.  It fills my heart with joy that Sarah looks up to Erin, because she is a wonderful role model for any young girl and I love that she has taken on that role in Sarah’s eyes!

We wish her all the happiness and love!

Sarah can not wait until her wedding in June!!!

Sticky Goodness…

Okay, ya’ll have been holding back on me and not giving me this monkey bread recipe.  This stuff is so good and easy!!!

It lasted less than 24 hours in our house and it was delightful.

District Teacher of the Year

Three weeks ago, I blogged about Dewey being named Teacher of the Year for his school and two weeks ago, he was named District Teacher of the Year.  The Superintendent and his principal went back to his classroom to give him his award.  WOW!  What an honor.
