Spring Break: Chapter 3

Today’s adventure included painting, lunch with friends, play time at the park, and Yogurtville for dinner…gotta love Spring Break!  While at lunch, my friend started to talk about the hipstamatic camera app and she stirred my interest.  Then at the park today, another one of my photography loving friends started to talk about it and I was sold.  Ya’ll I love my iphone…but this app is fabulous!  It is a camera with a couple of different lenses, films, and flashes.  The cool thing about it is that you can shake to randomize the options and it will totally change them for you.  Find the finish that you like and you can save it as your permanent settings.  Here are a few pictures that I took with it today.  Totally worth the $1.99!!!

Spring Break: Chapter 2

Today’s adventure brought us to the Ft. Worth Zoo.  Sarah’s favorite part of the zoo was seeing the otters and the sharks.  Carson’s vote went to the snakes and the cheetahs.

Spring Break: Chapter 1

We have been busy this week with fun Spring Break Happenings.  We have…

…played flag football…

…spent the night at Grandma and Papa’s house…

100% grateful for ALL, at the same time…

Dictionary.com defines the word stircrazy [stur-krey-zee] as follows…

–adjective Slang .

1.Informal . restless or frantic because of confinement, routine, etc.: 2.mentally ill because of long imprisonment.

…and that is the word of the week!

{due to being iced in for 4 days, followed by almost 5 inches of snow for one day}

Being stircrazy for the past 5 days has made me realize that I am grateful!  I’m grateful for my fabulous kids, my wonderful husband, AND my great job!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for {and absolutely loved} the family time that we had this week, the breakfast/lunch/dinner as a family of four and the take a 3 hour nap everyday for the past 5 days, but it has also made me grateful for my crazy {otherwise normal} life/job.  This week I realized that I would not trade my “start running when your feet hit the ground and do not stop until {at least} 15 hours later” days for anything!  I realized that laziness and laying around the house creates more laziness and laying around the house.  My house did not get cleaned this week, I did NONE of my teacher homework, and I was a completely lazy!  I realized that I would completely fail at the whole stay at home mom thing.  

  Again, don’t get me wrong, I loved the quality family time that this week brought, but my brain needs a little bit more challenge other than what puzzle are we going to do or what board game are we going to play or what are we going to have for dinner.  I’m grateful for my job because it provides me with challenges that otherwise would not come my way.  Being a working mom makes me a better mom and wife.  It makes me prioritize and get things done all awhile enjoying my family at the same time.

I’m so glad that I can be 100% grateful for my crazy, full speed ahead life my job…
