I love this picture.  Not as in l’m going to print it off, put it in a frame, and hang it in the hallway.  But because nothing screams…”Keepin’ it REAL”  like this!

Family Pictures

We got together with our family photographer and had our Spring pictures taken.  I love the time we spend with Dee.  She captures our family in at our best, worst and everything in between.  Thank you Dee for a wonderful time and allowing us to be “real”.  Here is her website {Best Photographer Ever} if anyone out there is interested in having their pictures taken.  She does everything from family pictures, to weddings, to graduation pictures and anything else that you could come up for her.

Veteran’s Memorial

On Sunday, the city that my parents live in dedicated a Veteran’s Memorial.  Dad was a veteran who was apart of the dedication and mom was a committee member for the memorial. 

I’m very proud of my dad and his service in the army.  Dad served one tour in Vietnam in 1967-1968.  Thank you dad and to all of our service men for your loyalty and dedication to our country. 

I’m very grateful and thankful to you all!

 

Dad and Sarah with Congressman Sam Johnson.  

Congressman Johnson is a 29 year Air Force veteran and he spent 7 years as a POW.  During his time as a soldier, he was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legions of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, one Bronze Star with Valor, two Purple Hearts, four Air Medals, and three Outstanding Unit Awards.  WOW!

Park Picnic

Today after church, we went on a spur of the moment picnic at the park.  We didn’t stay long because of the humidity, but we had a great family picnic.

Bluebonnets 2010

We headed out to the bluebonnet field today and even though there were not as many bluebonnets as last year {due to the cold weather/snow} the kids had fun.
