I love this picture…Carson is still a little timid of the water at the beginning, but he warms up quickly (see next picture).  Dewey is in the pool with the football trying to get him in the pool.

Okay,

So the Poe Family posted about this new Windows Live Writer  program and she said that it was really cool and fast.  So, I’m trying it out.

****So impressed with how big I can make the pictures!!!  Overboard…I know.

I’m L.O.V.I.N.G. it!!!!! And it is faster than blogger and as easy as a word document.

Lights, Camera...

Nap Time. Sarah's dance recital was today and she fell asleep in the car on the way. This is how she spent the show. I was back stage helping the other girls with their dress changes.
She did wake up for the finale thought. She was still our shining star...even though she didn't dance with her class. Good Job girl...we are proud of you!

Sarah got an American Girl Dancer Doll from the grandparents. Thanks Grammy, Grandma, Pop and Papa Coach!!!...I think she likes it.

Dance Recital Rehearsal

We took a break from the family reunion (see post below) to attend the rehearsal for Sarah's dance recital. Her actual recital isn't until next Saturday, but this Saturday was rehearsal. She did great! Click here to see her tap routine (she is the one on your far left).
Sarah and Ms. Mary, her dance teacher
Sarah on stage (far left) with her two friends. Her other two friends ran off the stage in tears. Blueberry Hill is her song for her ballet dance.
Love her hair!!!
Sarah in her tap outfit. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy is her song.

Family Reunion

This weekend, we went to the lake for our family reunion. What fun times on the boat and with all of the family. My grandfather had seven siblings and each of them had at least three children. I am in the grandchild generation and Sarah and Carson are in the great-grandchildren generation. So there are a lot of us to say the least. This year, not as many people were able to come, but we still had fun.

And at the park...

The Bell

We had our End Of Year Staff Celebration this year where awards, service pins, and fun times are had.

Here is the Story of the Story Bell. (Being the name of my school, no pun intended...) After a staff member has been at my school for 5 years, they receive a Story Bell.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I received my bell this year. This is my 9th year of teaching, but my 5th year at Story. And.I.am.so.excited! It is a BIG deal...if you couldn't tell. :)

Here is my AWESOME principal, Mr. Junco, who presented me with my bell. The picture of me and my assistant principal was blurry and didn't come out. :( My phone camera stinks...
Our theme this year was Picnic. We even got to wear flip flops on a Wednesday...YES!! The cute decorations were made by the first graders. It made me want to teach first grade for like one second...then I came back to my senses...
The decoration above says Working at Story is like a Picnic...great food, great people, and the occasional pest!! Then off to the side had two ants. The two ants were the two males who are in our building...our principal and one of the Special Ed teachers. All in good fun...they thought it was funny. :)
One last fun decoration that was on the tables. The first graders created these too and on the inside of the watermelon, they wrote about why they appreciated their teacher...very cute end of the year activity.

In closing, there are 11 more days of school NOT LIKE I'M COUNTING OR ANYTHING!!! And I will be ringing my bell the loudest as we "Ring out the Sixth Graders" on the last day of school.
