Church Family Portraits
Okay, so the only way that we are going to have a "traditional" portrait taken of the family is if the church is taking pictures for the directory and we get a free 8x10. So, here they are...meet our new family: mommy, daddy, smiling Sarah, and a deer in headlights. heehee :) I can't wait until next month until we meet with our photographer for our real family pictures (which are not-sit down, smile, click)!! We love Dee and we appreciated her before this, but now we really appreciate her!
p.s. please excuse the scanned pictures. We don't have the best scanner, but it works.

Give the Boy Raisins and He is a Happy Camper!
Carson loves raisins. Actually, he likes anything edible (sp?). In the second picture, his cheeks are full of raisins and he is reaching for more. heehee :) He is getting so big, he is almost the size of Sarah. On another note, he cruises around behind his push toy and giggles the whole way. You can tell that he is really thinking about letting go and wanting to walk on his own. Go Carson Go!! (I'll post some pictures of him behind his push toy soon!)

Sarah's Quote of the Day
Sarah's allergies have been going CRAZY the past couple of days. Here is one of our conversations...
I asked her this afternoon, "Sarah come here so we can blow you nose."
Sarah said, "Mommy, I hate my nose."
I said, "That's silly."
Sarah's response, "I know."
I love her two year old brain!!!! :)

Dance 101
Sarah had her first dance class today at preschool. She loves it because she gets to be a "princess" and I love it because they come to the school. Every time we ask her if she wants to put on her dance clothes, she immediately takes off her clothes and throws them on the floor as you can see in the pictures.

First Impressions in a Non-Baby (Toddler) Proof House
The one thing I have learned in this whole motherhood thing is that I am not the only one who experiences "situations" or think things that I thought I never would. Don't get me wrong, I love my children and I learn something from them everyday, but there are times when I want to raise the white flag in defeat. (One of those nights was last night!) We went to a fellow AHS coach's house for fantasy draft night. We were the only ones with the babies while everyone else hired babysitters.
So, if you have never gone to a non-pet house or a non-child house with your children, let me set the stage:
You arrive without a shinny forehead, the host's coffee table is clean, and your children are happy. The host greets you with smiling faces and tell you how cute your kids are. Five minutes into your visit, the host is sitting trying to have an adult conversation with you while you are shuffling to keep your children away from their breakables, away from their candles, out of their bedrooms, and their hands off the coffee table. The host and other guests then start to think that this is what you do all day long...run after your children and that you are a little crazy! You quickly realize that this is not how you intended the visit to go and you think of all of the possible excuses that you could use to leave because you are starting to feel overwhelmed. Twenty minutes later, your forehead is shinny, the coffee table now has every possible fingerprint of your child on it and your children are NOT happy. You quickly say your goodbyes and while the host and all the other guests think you really are CRAZY and are thankful that you are leaving. They have that fake smile on their face, continue to tell you how cute the kids are, and how good it was to meet you even though you can see right through them.
So...to all the mommies out there, please tell me that you have experienced this or at least feel pity on me and lie!! :)
p.s. Even though daddies and in-laws are with you during some of these visits, you feel like you are the only one there even when they are helping.

First Day of Preschool
Sarah had a blast on her first day of preschool. I dropped her off and she went inside like a pro and then was a little nervous. Dewey had to pull me out of her room so that we could get to school ourselves. Her teacher said that it took no time for her to get comfortable! Here are some fun pics and I'm sure the staff there was totally laughing at me after I left, but hey, you only have one first day of preschool!

Sarah walking in with Daddy!

Sarah's Cubbie (sorry it is a little out of focus, my camera wasn't set right) It also looks like Sarah O'Neitt, but it is spelled right. There is a marking on the caterpillar that makes her l's look like t's.

The bulletin board with Sarah's name on it. She loves the "ool bus"!

Mrs. Franchone, her teacher, who looks a little scary in this picture, but she is really nice! And Sarah looking a little unsure, but it took no time for her to warm up.

Ladies and Gentlemen...
Sarah is potty trained! I'll spare you the details, but just know that she is out of diapers and she loves wearing her big girl panties.
She will also be going to preschool on Monday so I ask for your prayers that it will be a smooth transition for her and everyone involved.
