Sarah's Stylin'

Sarah got her hair cut today and Mrs. Amy, the lady who cuts her hair, even braided it. All afternoon, Sarah was walking around the house saying, "Mommy, my hair is beauty-ful!" She no longer looks like a baby, but like a little girl. Sniff, Sniff

p.s. Her blue lips/mouth are courtesy of her blueberry lollipop that she got for sitting in the chair so well.

Fantasy Football Here We Come!!

Okay, so we (my mother-in-law, Sarah, and I) have decided to join the boys in fantasy football this year. We are throwing around a few names and came up with the ones on the vote bar to the right. So, please vote or comment to give us any and all suggestions! We are opened to anything since this is going to be our "rookie year" and we are going to win the Fantasy Super Bowl game...we figured we need a good name to do it with!

Charli Dog, Chicken Dog

Charli, our 10 year old lab, is a good dog and she gets into nothing...except occasionally the trash. Charli and Coal, our 7 year old lab, were "cleaning up" after Carson ate lunch today (chicken nuggets) and Charli thought that she didn't get enough, so she got into the trash, and got out the empty chicken nugget bag. I walked into the kitchen to find the bag stuck on Charli's head and Coal looking at her like, "Hey, save some crumbs for me." You can see Coal in the background.
Silly dogs!!!

Mommy, look what I can do!

Carson has always been very easy to put down, and tonight was no different, I just had to be a little creative. Since he has been crawling everywhere and pulling up on anything that will hold his weight, he thinks he is pretty cool! So tonight when I put him down, I read to him, rocked him, and as he was falling asleep in my arms (I love being a mommy!!) I put him in his crib. Five minutes later, I heard him giggling and went into his room to find this...

Repeat the "bed time routine" two more times and in honor of being a baseball coach's wife (even though today was the first day of football and I'm now a football widow for the next 4 months), I figured 3 strikes and I was out. So I had to get creative...I pulled out the Pack-N-Play, put him in and didn't hear a word.
Problem Solved!

Fun Playdate

Our friends, the Dell Accio's, came over the other night for a playdate. Their daughter, Olivia, is about to turn three and Sarah loves playing with her. Greg and Renee-Thanks for sharing your evening with us! We had fun!

Princess Olivia-Don't you just love her red curls!!!

Are You Kidding Me?

So Dewey took my car in last week to check the air conditioning because it was running hot. Well, they found out that not only was my air conditioning hose leaking, but the mounts on my engine were leaking (which leads to cracking, thus the engine falling out, and all of my brakes were in need of replacing. The good thing is that most of that stuff is still under warranty (gotta love the extended warranty) so we don't have to pay the "full" bill.

They gave us a loaner car while my car was in the shop. We get ready to go to church this morning and the loaner car has a flat. Are you kidding me?

Kemah Boardwalk

While we were in Galveston, we went to the Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah, Texas and it was so much fun. They have a ton of restaurants, a Ferris wheel, a sting ray exhibit, a train, and a lot more. It made for a great afternoon!
